A theatrical horror performance based on a fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm
Hansel and Gretel in the Haunted Forest. Yes, they are afraid, but can they control their fear? But how? How to depend on themselves? How to find your way home? Do they need mommy and daddy for everything? They have to rely on their sibling, then overcoming the evil witch who wants to eat them.
The Radost Theater is a professional theater for children and youth operating in Brno since 1949. Its founder and first director was the teacher and important amateur puppet director Vladimír Matoušek, who was one of the leading personalities of the interwar generation of Czech puppetry. The director and artistic director Vlastimil Peška, who consistently applied the program of music and entertainment theater and was also the initiator of the extensive reconstruction of the theater, was a significant figure from the mid-1990s onwards. A modern theater space was created, including a summer stage and the so-called Puppet Museum. The theater organizes the International Puppetry Festival of Joy in two-year cycles. The current director and artistic director of the theater is stage designer Pavel Hubička.
